Well folks - here she is - picked her up in Pittsburgh and brought her home!

Can smoeone give me smoe information on the coin? I understand the same basic design was used for 1, 2, and 5 Franc coins, is that correct? If anyone specializes in these and has some toners I would be DEFINITELY INTERESTED IN TALKING WITH YOU!!!

Wow that's a nice coin......just got into Darksider myself so I can't tell you more than you already know. Most of the foreign coins I own are a lot more modern than the one you posted. Someone will be along soon that can talk to more specifics.

By the way my wife loves your avator since we have two pugs!!!!

They also used that design for the 1/2 Franc.

Yes, the Marianne (symbolic of France) sowing a field design has been used on 1/2, 1, 2, and 5 Franc coins since 1897 for the first two, 1898 and 1960 respectively. Mintage of 57.153 million.
