U.S. Mint Returns question

When you return something to the mint for a replacement do they put up something that you can track in your order history of the Mint's website?

Yes. Click on your order history. If you have returned an item, after the portion where it says "X units shipped on __/__/__," the Mint will have an addendum that reads, "X units were returned." The return information appears immediately after the shipped information, separated by a comma.

How long after they recieved the return did they post something?

If you are experiencing a delay in acknowledgement of a Mint return, at this moment I am having the same problem. Returned 10 mint sets several weeks ago, have heard nothing from the Mint and have not obtained my refund. I will be telephoning them tomorrow.

Normally returns are processed fairly quickly, and my best guess is it usually takes less than four weeks for a refund to be issued. Not sure how long it takes them to revise your online order history.

I sent back a 2004 Silver Proof set. I mailed it August 3rd and USPS says it was delivered to them on the 6th. Nothing yet. I guess I'll call tomorrow too.

Interesting. Now I'm convinced their is undue delay in the Memphis return processing department. I mailed my return via certified mail, so I know the Mint received it weeks ago. It simply should not be taking this long.

I'll be sending dcam fingerprinted silver proofs back tomorrow. Guess I'll have the refund in time for Halloween?
