Picked up these Canadian coins at the post office yesterday

Look what I trudged all the way to the Post Office to pick up. It was worth the trip image

  • Ah, the Hopewell rocks on the Bay of Fundy. Nice place. The rocks looked huge... but then again I was 9 years old at the time so I guess they may seem smaller now. But at least you could walk right up to them, unlike a similar formation in Australia.

I was pleasantly surprised and happy when the RCM came out with this design. I've been to visit Hopewell Rocks in New Brunswick a few times, as my best friend lives in that province and I visit often.

I'm at work now, but tonight I'll try to get a better pic of the butterfly coin.

I'm glad you're turning into a Darksider, Auld Fartte. Nice to have your company here image

I can't seem to get my camera to talk a pic of the butterfly without the glare. The coin itself seems to glow. I guess the pic at the RCM site will have to
suffice until I can figure out how to get a better one.

Good news - spoke with a friend who's great in photography, and he told me how I could get a shot of the butterfly in natural daylight that should take
away the glare, so I'll try that as soon as we stop having rainy days, and I'll be sure to post it!

I think it's because they are only issuing a limited number of them. Americans can buy them either from Canadian coin dealers or on Ebay, though.
