My new coin! Conder? (again)

My new toy!! I have absolutely no idea what it really is. This is a conder? Yes?

Almost all of the marks are on the plastic. I should rip it out of that old holder.

Enjoy!!

    Very nice token!

There are 4 edge varieties of DH 967 - worth taking out and checking

    967 - PAYABLE AT W. GYE'S PRINTER BATH X . X
    967a - PAYABLE AT IOHN SAYWER'S ROMNEY . X .
967b - PAYABLE IN LANCASTER LONDON OR BRISTOL
967c - PAYABLE AT THOMAS BUNDOCKS

967a and c are rated RRR
    967 is rated scarce
    967b is common

  • Are those all of the edge varieties?

The edge on this one says "Brighton camp halfpenny X.X.X.X"

That does change the attribution of the token.

Sussex Brighton DH 2 - common, but still neat!

  • It may be common, but it is still in great shape. I like it!!! And what does "common" mean in this case? How many coins were minted of this variety?

See my responce in the other thread with this title.
  • So a "common" conder is 400,000 minted in 1794!!!??? Sheesh!!! What would this be worth if it was a *gasp* liteside U.S. coin. I had illusions of collecting all 1794 conders until I sawwhat that was letting me in for. I would need a frigging forklift for the collection! Thanks, for the response Conder101, especially the detailed one in the other thread.

There are Conder tokens rated as common with mintages as low as 5,500. Ok I think that is a little extreme but tokens with mintages of around 50,000 rated as common are not unusual.

Price is about demand as much as it is about rarity.
