Ultimate Peruvian Gold Coin, the king 100 Soles

Here is the ultimate Peruvian Gold Coin. A arge oversized coin 100 Soles value with 1.3 ounces of .999 pure gold.
Most all of this series is very low mintage. There were only about 5700 examples of this one struck.
I think they look better than the US $20 Saint Gaudins Double Eagles myself.
Unfortunately, this series is terribly underrated as hardly anyone seems interested in them.

In looking at the US seated dollars and halves, I wonder who influenced who in this seated liberty design?
Do you think the US design was based on this one or vice-versa?
I think Ms Liberty looks a lot better facing forward and not looking over her shoulder.
I wonder if the US designed the dies for these or not?
I know in the 1930's the big SOLs were minted in Philadelphia.
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." -Luke 11:9
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." -Deut. 6:4-5
"For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us." -Isaiah 33:22
I do love it.
It's fun to sort of hold it, fondle it, play with it. it's so heavy too!
Yeah, I sold one of my 100 Sole pieces for "spot" at the Portland ANA show...of course, I bought it for below melt in the first place.

I agree. Myself, I don't understand what people see in the Saint G's

<< <i>Not to take away from the Seated Liberty discussion, but to (hopefully) add to the consensus that South America has some great, underappreciated coins.. here's a Peruvian that I picked up the other day, only $1.25:

Muy cool!
There are South American coins that are worth little here but bring a lot of money down there. It took me three attempts to outbid South American collectors on an 1876 Venezuelan 20 centimos I needed for my collection (3+ times Krause).
