Boy, the engraver must have gotten paid well. Look at ol' George on the reverse- he's all buff, as if going to the gym was his hobby! (We know better!)

The angel who's crowning him, on the other hand, appears to be in slight need of a girdle.

That medal was by Pistrucci, he was paid £500 for his work. He asked for £1200, but his request was rejected.
