Picking this one up, what do you think?

    It is difficult for me to grade by the pictures. The coin does not look cleaned, but something looks off. What is the redness in the fields? Assuming the coin does grade, I would guess AU55 - AU58.

    Hard to tell from the photo. It does have that cleaned look, kinda dull. My concern is the spot about 2:00 on the reverse. Is that corrossion ?? The coin does have nice details though, probably AU. I've been looking at a lot of early coppers lately, all I find mostly have problems in the circulated grades. Good Luck image

    krazyace5, this coin looks like a proof. I think there is a wire rim on the obverse. If it does check out as a proof, great score! image

    By the pics, the obverse appears to have residual residue from a prior cleaning. Other than that, it appears to be in good shape---maybe an AU.
    What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?
