My Latest Coin Purchase-1879-P Morgan Dollar

RampageRampage Posts: 9,452 ✭✭✭✭✭
Yes, that is an NTC holder, but I the purchase was sight-seen and I paid MS62 money for it even though it is graded MS64. However, I feel it will grade a lock MS63. This coin was from the same batch as my other 3 or 4 coins of the same date and grade.

Any opinions?
Thanks, Richard.

Beautiful coin, except what looks like a print on the front. I love that reverse toning. Looks farely mark free.
    Prost!

Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

    Richard,

Just my opinion but I think the reverse is AT...

I'm iffy on the reverse toning. Technically easily a 63+ except for that fingerprint in the one of the worst possible locations from a grading standpoint.

That was my first thought also, the reverse looks AT, the obverse looks like natural crescent toning... go figure...

I was unable to get a better scan of the reverse. It is natural.

As for the finger print, you can barely see it on the coin, just shows up real well on the scan. image
