eBay fees EDITED

I was just told via email that sellers fees on eBay are going up. Any sellers know by how much? I was told the increase would take effect in August.

I am sorry everybody for the confusion

I went back and read the email and it said PAYPAL vice EBAY

Didn't they just increase several fees recently?
  • They can do whatever they want. They are pretty much the only game in town.
  • I hope you're kidding. It's extortion as is.

I believe the last fee change was more of a "restructuring" than an increase.

With the listing fees as high as they are, it's tough to list material other than .99 start items.

Figure a $100 coin is going to cost you what, $3 (BIN, 2-3 pics) to list. Heck, that's 3%, then Paypal (another 3%) and then the final value fees (figure 5% on our $100 item), you're at 11%!

    11%..............

PayPal fees are changing in August or September. It will be an increase for small sellers, same for those with 10k to 100k monthly volume and a decrease for the really big users. Maybe that is what your source was referring to.

I think eBay fees just went up back in February so doubt they are changing again this quick (or least hope they're not).

I started to sell things on the Ebay Store as it costs me about a cent to list and I just leave it there until it gets bought as the price I want to sell it for. But I advertise them by selling the much less expensive stuff for .99 on Ebay Auctions. Yes the final value fees suck but I also recommend Money Orders which the Buyer pays for skipping the PayPal Fees.
