Why would I regret it? The only reason I might regret it is because of the time-suck factor. But I'd otherwise be wasting my time, or worse -- getting work done at the office.
I have learned a lot here. It is nice to see all the pictures. The knowledge base here is fantastic and answers to questions always come fast. This is one of the best forums on the net. Never boring.
Not one bit! Learning more here from the collective knowledge than from all of the books (which all of you said to read)! Wish as a new collector I wasn't so anxious to jump into the pool and actually listen to some of that knowledge, dem sharks in that pool!
Hutz: Now don't you worry, Mrs. Simpson, I - uh-oh. We've drawn Judge Snyder. Marge: Is that bad? Hutz: Well, he's kind of had it in for me, since I accidently ran over his dog. Actually, replace `accidently' with `repeatedly', and replace `dog' with `son'.
This place is a riot. The wide range of information is incredible. And all the other stuff, spoof email alerts, bogus coin auctions, charity happenings, wow etc ...and the just for fun posts are great! Thanks to one of Anaconda's posts I found out everybodys' a coin weenie!
None whatsoever! In fact, it encompasses my down time throughout the day, and that's alot of down time. Not only that, there's the knowledge that's rendered from folks with years of numismatic experience teaching this old fool new tricks. There's a degree of comradeship with the few; the jokes; the flaming and much more. Yeah...there's no regrets.
What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?
I wouldn't have as many posts here as I do if I regretted it. I'd have a lot more money in my bank account, though, as I would not have gotten back into the hobby as deeply as I have without this forum.
Never! Haha! This place is awesome. I realize that I am nowhere near as nowledgeable as some guys on this forum, but that's what makes it great. I got bored of collecting a few years ago because my dealer was a scumbag who ripped off tons of people, treated everyone like vermin, and didn't answer my questions.Since I stumbled on this forum my love for coins has been rekindled and I have learned so much. What's even better is that, is that I don't have to go to a shop if I have a question. I can ask people here and they help in a hearbeat. I have seen a few other coin forums and this is by far the greatest one!

There is just one really great regret; that I didn't find it a great deal sooner. I bought the computer months before I found the site mainly because it seemed time for the sites to get big enough to warrant spending time at them. The search engines gave very little on "coin chat". One day while surfing I saw the "message board" icon on the PCGS site and signed up immediately and found the other sites in a post on this forum.
