How do I add a new "author icon?" Please help.

Sorry if this isn't the appropriate forum to ask, but it looks like the Testing Forum doesn't get much traffic. I'd like to add a new icon to help identify myself, but I can't figure out how to, nor does the "Help" menu give me much direction. Can anyone help me out? I would appreciate it greatly!

Click the "profile" link under the navigation box at the top of the screen. Scroll down to author icon and choose the one you want. If you want to upload your own, you will have to wait until the 15th of the month. That's when they turn on that feature.

Well, that would explain why I can't upload one, then.

It turns out the icon I've been using was strongly identified with another member, so I wanted to avoid confusion by switching. Oh well. Guess I'll wait a few more days to add my own.

Jason, If you mean a new icon unique to yourself, you can only upload those on the 15th of the month which is coming right up here. If however you'd like to choose one from the vast list already uploaded , just click on "profile": it's just below the box identifying which forum you're in. When you get into your profile, down near the bottom is a box that you can scroll within to choose an icon. If you'd actually like to see the icons first there is a button to do that too but it takes them quite a while to all load if you have dialup. Hope this helps with your question.

Ok, it's now the 15th, and I still don't see how to add an icon. What am I doing wrong this time?

There is a good chance that they haven't unlocked the feature. You just have to keep checking on the profile tab to see if the option is available yet. You might give Carol (customer service) a buzz and ask her when they plan on unlocking it.
