    Looks proof-like, I would go with a 63, but, Im not sure how they grade.

    I'd buy that one all day long as a 63, maybe 64 if it looks good in hand. 65 would be a stretch, imo.

    63 at PCGS and NGC all day, probably in a 64 slab with PCI maybe even a 65 with PCI, the reverse is nice and clean.

    Solid MS63... but since it is PCI I would guess MS64/65.

    Pic is a bit smallish, but I'd say PCI MSblank. Maybe Conder or Kiefer would want that for their slab collections. image

    Seriously, though, that is a nice looking coin, and I will guess 64 PQ with a shot at 65. Love the luster.

    Edit to add: don't y'all be so sure this coin is overgraded because it is in a PCI holder. If it were a PCI gold, yeah, sure, but I have had some nice PCI greens upgrade at the Big Two. (The ex-PCI MS62 $20 Lib that went PCGS 64 this January being my favorite example!)

    Reverse looks great, the obverse I'm not so sure about. MS63 if those are scratches MS64 if light bag marks

    Most of you felt that it might grade higher than the assigned grade. I know pics are a terrible way to try to 'guess' a grade but hopefully, when i get it in a few days, it will look as good in hand as it does in the pics. It was relatively cheap @ $15 so no big loss if it is a 62.

    they graded it exactly right. tough to get that 63 or above with marks like that on the cheek. for 15 bucks..........thats one hell of a deal!

    Some green label PCI slabs are great bargain opportunities. I posted my PCI 1892-O Morgan last week, and the consensus was that it would cross over as a 63 -- which is what PCI graded it. And since it was PCI, I paid a little less than MS-62 money for it. A lot of PCI stuff is junk, but for a while, apparently, PCI was pretty conservative, so there are some diamonds in the rough that can be ripped.
