Who's Going to the NY Invitational Show 7/22-24?

airplanenutairplanenut Posts: 22,149 ✭✭✭✭✭
I think I might stop by, as it's basically as local as shows get (less the actual local one image)

Anyone know what kind of stuff is predominantly there? I guess I'd probably be there on one or both weekdays... now, anyone want to come to NJ to see me in concert on Saturday evening? image (Beethoven's Mass in C Major and Choral Fantasie--just a train ride away!)

I think the show's only open to the public on 7/23 and 7/24, although there are auctions scheduled all three days.

Since it's a new show, I don't know who'll be there or how large it will be, but if I can get the day off, I'll go on Friday and, if not, I'll probably go on Saturday.

I may consider driving into the city but not sure what is going on that weekend. As for your concert, are ya' gonna sing us a little tune...???image

I thought this was primarily a darkside show? If I'm wrong I may try to get into the city that Friday afternoon.

  • I'll be there working...The show is definitely going to be one of the most interesting this year. It has some great auctions and all of the major dealers will be there. It should be a lot of fun. Come on up Jeremy, it's about time we actually meet...

The coin will be primarily a US event, with world and currency dealers in attendance. I will have a bourse table. The event is open to the public, Friday and Saturday, and a professional preview is available on Thursday for a fee.

I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

That's cool that it is right at Grand Central. I'll just take the train in from CT.

I would still like a link with dealer and table info and other stuff if someone has one.

I haven't seen a link to any show info, but their ad in Coin World says to call Bob Brueggemann or Jill Lagardere for Bourse info at 800-359-9430.

If you call, let us know what you find out!

The show has a half-page ad in the 7/19 issue of Coin World with a list of about 60 dealers.
