I recently rcvd this coin back from PCGS and rcvd the grade of MS64. I found it in a mint set that looked to have had some water damage about two years ago.
Besides the coin having very nice shades of purple, blues, reds, marroons, orange and yellows on the obv...it has the water bubble line around the ear which I find sort of distracting. The reverse has a very weird toning which has nice teal/blue and blue around the rim in the letters (doesn't come out too well in the photo) but the rest is a dark gold/green but it is not corroded, just toned that color.
It has very few marks for a MS64. What in yr opinion as to why it did not get a 65? Do you think the water bubble line had something to do with it?

The line between MS64 and MS65 is very fuzzy when it comes to clad Ikes.

<< <i>I am surprised it got into a holder....environmental damage???? >>
This coin is environmentally toned just like any other coin, but I would not call it damaged unless it had green corrosion seeping from the copper. This coin does not.
