<< <i>Arrived today - I think Cosmic showed his before but this one is mine Hungry - 1988 500 forint: Shep >>
I like this! The engraver has a good feel for the subject. Certainly made me think of a Marsh Harrier - hovering over a reed bed - about to drop like a stone on some poor frog. "Old English names include Swamp Hawk, Moor Buzzard, Bald Buzzard, Duck Hawk, Snipe Hawk, Marsh Hawk, Moor Hawk, Brown hawk, Bog Gled, Dun Pickle, White-headed harpy, Puttock and Kite"
