Will I be happy? (Poll)

Bringing back my youthful days of yore - I no longer rip open modern packs of cards - and, thus, very infrequently am able to relish that magically child-like moment of anticipation when I open a pack of baseball cards. Occassionally I purchase a vintage pack here and there to rip - but I am usually only looking for cards of a certain player (no hints as to who...), and, as such, it is a limited buzz for me.
One of my favorite ways to re-create this feeling of anticipation and happiness is something that used to be the "norm" with PSA so many years ago. My latest submission has been graded - and I just received notification that my invoice was graded. In the spirit of preserving the element of true surprise - I have decided to foresake knowing the results of my submission until I receive the cards, via registered, insured mail, at my PO Box, presumably sometime next week. That way, I can relish the moment by taking each card out of the cardboard brown boxes, looking at its grade, deciding whether or not I agree with it, and anticipating whether or not it will be an "upgrade" on the projects I am working on.
So, all of that being said - the *curious* nature of myself is nonetheless at least somewhat interested in a signalling as to whether or not I will be happy with my grades. Thus, I am posting my submission number here on the Forum. The ground rules I ask you to respect are as follows:
A) DO NOT cut and paste any grades onto this post, or on e-mail to me. This ruins my surprise, and I thank you for respecting that.
If you don't know me well enough to judge whether or not I should be happy, don't vote.
C) Don't post anything about quantitative metrics (e.g. you should be happy with this PSA 9 or that PSA 10... or, I think you have 8 upgrades for your set....)
D) A simple "yes" or "no" vote is all I ask.
This is my first time doing something like this - and I typically do not share my submissions with the masses of strangers here on the Forum. I trust your judgments and look forward to your response.

MS - What is good grades for 1 may not be to another. We the voters have no expectations and have never seen the cards before submitting. Only you have an inkling of what to expect. What we think (& vote) doesn't matter. When you open the box and glance thru card by card, that will be the vote of happy or sad...jay
Edited for spelling!

No.
Don't know what your expectations are but I would be happy to own so many graded Phils.
Even though Schmitty would not come out of the dugout two weeks ago when he was here in town with the Threshers. He'll be back next weekend - maybe in a better mood.
If you like the grades - have a "cheese with" and a beer.
If you don't like the grades - have a "cheese with" and a beer.
I don't get nearly enough of either anymore.

We haven't had much interaction, but I have followed your posts for the last 6-8 months and if these cards were selected with the care used on the 86 Topps Schmidts, I think you might be disappointed. You have a great eye for cards, so I think the grader might have spilled his Coke on these.
I voted No.

J/K I think you'll be happy, but then again, what do I know? If you were hoping for all 10s, then you will be sorely disappointed.

If anyone submits expecting all 10's, they need to get another hobby. Beauty pageant judge maybe?
I think I know your expectations and looked at what you sent in.
Overall, I say NO
This is a fun thread though!

I'm not sure - I honestly don't remember all that I put on the invoice (and don't feel like digging out the details, either). My best recollection is a bunch of 1980 Topps Phillies, a bunch of Mike Schmidt cards - including some oddball cards (probably some hand cut stuff, too....), and perhaps a few Nolan Ryan and potentially Willie Stargell cards.
The grades probably *should* be a tad lower than my "normal" invoice as I was trying to rush to meet the end of February deadline. That being said - many of these cards were picked/available at the same time that I made my last big Schmidt invoice.
For some further information, let me say the following:
With oddball/weird Schmidt cards, sometimes I'm just looking to add a graded example - and will look to upgrade in the future.
With the 1980 Topps Phillies cards - I was expecting primarily 9s with a handful of 8s and hopes of 1 or 2 10's (but guessing not based on responses here)
With regular issue/normal Mike Schmidt cards, I view anything less than a PSA 9 as a waste of my time.
Finally, as a frame of reference, I was overall happy with this following invoice:
Lessons learned: used bad methodology on some/most of the Hand Cut cards. I obviously did not know/expect this in advance.
Although there are many 8s in this invoice, this was more than anything my "oddball" invoice with all the Star Schmidt issues, box bottoms, Hostess cards, a bunch of OPC stickers, etc. I really was looking for 8s or betters on the oddball stuff - and was happy to have so many 9s thrown in, with quite a few 10s to boot. Was/am still very proud of the 1986 Topps Schmidt 10. Some of the 8s probably should not have been sent in - but I often don't have a hoarde of certain examples (stickers, etc.) by which to make "better" submissions.

<< <i>mikeschmidt - considering what jtcards, dsl, and a few others have had up on ebay over the last few months and the closing prices, is it even worthwhile to submit 1980 commons looking for PSA 9s?
Nick >>
They were all high grade SGC 96s (with a few 92s), and I conferred with a noted 1980 expert before deciding which ones I would crack and submit...
I had/have a similar grouping of 1981 Phillies SGC 96s that I may submit through the crossover service - as I am quite confident that they are not PSA 9 worthy...
So, in essence, I was pretty darn confident on *most* of the 1980s that I submitted - with a note that some of them I was probably only expecting 8s. I would have to get back to you as to exactly which ones... Just wanted to finish off my 1980 Phillies Registry set in one consistent set of holders.

Then, changes to YES.
Has SGC polluted your mind, Aconte, or just confused your reasoning?

I hate to say it...but I voted NO.

I see you submitted a Hostess card - I won't give anything away, but, in my few experiences with submitting them myself, Hostess is tough! I had one on a recent submission that came back "questionable authenticity"!
Who would waste their time and effort to alter/fake a Hostess card?
Based on what I know, I would have to vote "NO", you will not be happy overall.

Good luck with the 81's. I wish you had the last couple I need. Hopefully, Gator will come through in the clutch.

JEB:
You may see on the other submission that I linked that I submitted (and got graded) all of the Schmidt Hostess cards. One came back an 8 - but there were way too many 5s and 6s for my comfort. One of mine on that submission did come back as "questionable authenticy", too. What a crock that is!!
Also remember that I don't pull the crazy 10s like you and dartonxx. On that first submission - 10% PSA 10s made me a very happy boy (even though most of them were 1989 Score cards...)
I would not be happy so I cannot expect you to be happy
