Picked up a 1969 Tunisia Proof Set today

    I didn't know how much it was worth and I only had access to a 1999 Krause at the show. I paid below 1999 Krause for it.

    Unfortunately the 1999 Krause has it at $140 and the 2004 at $120. image

    I have some of those on ebay this week, I love the detail in the reverses, Nice toning, a lot of sets look bad when toned. Krause states that most set were heavily damaged before release. Undervalued IMHO.image

    I'm not a huge fan of modern silver, but this is one of my favorites. Total mintage
    is only 20,000 and they weight 2/3 troy Oz. A few were probably melted in 1980
    for the silver. The designs are interesting and the set has a very wide distribution
    compared to many similar items.

    These are seen very regularly but one has to suspect that they are being bought
    by collectors, so they may not be as commonly seen in the future.
