1999D SBA PCGS MS68 Prices?

Any opinions on whether the prices for these MS68 coins will fall any lower? Now that the US Mint has finally sold out the uncirculated sets maybe the population will stabilize?

Thanks,

I do not think they will fall much further. You are right the population seems to be stabilizing and the moderate demand keeps the price afloat.

  • I haven't found any 1999-D's of that quality in awhile now. I did notice that someone had made a small handful of MS68's about several months ago. That was close to the time that the mint sold out. So far the population doesn't seem to have increased since then. It was a 104 the last time I looked?

The one I just sold on Ebay was my lowest sale ever at $180.00. imageimageimage

That 99-P is real hard nut to crack also. In the last several months I have only found two that looked worth grading and these were both 67'S. A very difficult coin to find in superb gem condition.

I really thought I had a shot at an MS69 99-D. I took the 10 best looking MS68's and sent them in to be regraded. All came back MS68. I guess it's going to take more than a pretty 68 to get PCGS to open up that grade.

It will be interesting to see how the prices and populations change over the next year or so. My feeling is that prices will get stronger due to demand and lack of material. IMHO
