My Late Date Walkers are now complete!

Well,
About a month ago, I completed my Walker Short Set, #1 all time finest, and today I completed my Late Date Walker set, #1 All time finest.
It has been a long journey, nearly 7 years in the making, but thanks to a stroke of luck, and to Pinnacle Rarities, Mark and Todd, in particular, I have brought the set to closure, for me.
There are certainly a couple of coins out there that could be added, but I don't believe they will ever come my way. To my knowledge, they are not in the general public domain, and it will be years, possibly decades before they come back into the public arena.
Seems a bit of a let down now, but the goal has been out there for so long and at times seemed so unachievable that this is kind of after the party.
Interesting note, the 35S I just added, was mine nearly 2 years ago. I was the original owner, I sold it, tried to buy it back several times, and then out of the blue it was dropped in my lap - not without substantial dollars, but still, it came home to stay.

I doubt that the late date set you have put together willl ever be equaled in grade........ However if you have any nice toners in there that you don't care for just let me know.

Greg, thanks for the comment, our quest would not have worked with the way the prices have increased these last few years. Just revel in the GBW set and even Cajan's set. Want a nice 19D in 66?

It would be nice yo see you enjoy the set for a long time before selling.
I once had a gem 1934-1947 set that I sold a long time at a Bowers auction in 1983. The prices were quite strong. Only made at least 1000% over what I originally paid. Yet, I was devastated that I did such a thing as my putting such a set was such a labor of love.
To this day, I have resisted trying to put back my set together except to pick together mutliple versions of an ultimate type set coin. An PCGS MS-68 1940walker I bought ? Nah. The Jack Lee 1921 PCGS MS-66 that I bought ? Pretty close indeed but not quite. Multiple versions if MS-66 and MS-67 late date walkers? Nah.
Now that 1919-D in MS-66 does look really cool and it is the best walker of all raity wise. But no better grade wise than my 1921 walker. Problem is I came from the generation in which the 1921 trio was the ultimate!!!
After all, I use the oreville21 name on ebay as 21 was my favorite number since childhood. 1921 was always my favorite date as well.
