I posted my US Design Set - Selling off many of my proofs lately certainly hurt the GPA... No load of 69DCAMs for all the post 1964 coins.
One hole in my set is the early dollar... one day I will get one!

Thank you DH, BJ, and all of PCGS.

BTW. I guess I need a bust dollar as well.
So how about an in between Type Set? Something that ignores the 5-10% differences [such as 1, 2 or 3 outlines to the star on a 3 cent silver] but embraces the 50% or larger differences [such as the almost completely different design of the Gobrecht vs Seated Liberty dollar reverse]
I'm still happy to see the set up and running.
<< <i>...to lump Flowing Hair dollars in with Bust Dollars or Chain Cents in with the Liberty Caps seems a bit much. The design difference between a Chain Cent and a Liberty Cap cent is 100% - too dramatic to be ignored. >>
In a small way it will help in achieving the next level... 20,000 sets.
I would like to see a "steel cent set".
You have very good points. About 2 years ago, a number of the forum members worked together to create the list. We finally got it! And it is very close to what we requested. The list roughly corresponds to the list in the back of Scot Travers price guide. I think we were looking to create a set that is doable for many collectors, and that avoids the minor varieties. Thus, only one of each seated denomination for example. The early bust material was tougher. The consideration for us was that many collectors are not able to buy nice examples of drapped material. So, I think the thought was to begin with capped bust pieces. Since there are no capped dollars, it kind of made sense to add a drapped bust piece to the set. That way, there would also be at least one example of the drapped bust type. In terms of large cents, the coronet era roughly corresponds to the beginning of the capped bust era. And, there is a smaller different between the Coronet and braided designs. Thus only one large cent example. In the case of 1/2c the classic head would correspond roughly to the start of the capped bust era. Again, we could have asked for a classic head and braided head 1/2c, but thought one would be enough. Anyway that was our thinking. Also, it seems like there will be a nice variety of new type sets to cover many interests.

Ultimately that's what PCGS is striving to achieve, IMO. A broad selection of Registry Set choices for the broad spectrum of collecting tastes.
I'm looking forward to seeing the various sets and what collectors put in them.
In at #11, 56.41 complete and 64.81 Weighted GPA
My 1976 Proof Set coins (with no Lincoln right now) fits right in there.
A lot of work to be done
Thanks Greg and all who helped to get this set approved.

You have some very nice classic coins in that set.
Even if I were to fill all my holes with coins that I can afford, I will never be able to catch you!!
But I can still play with guys around me or the ones that will get around me.
Goal: In or near the top 10, currently down to #14
BTW, where is that Mr. Bill??

What grade do you think PCGS would give this?

Using the image I'd say 64 or 65.
Is it slabbed?

<< <i> It sure is a good cure for "multiple Seated type burn out syndrome" >>
Bite your tongue! There is no such thing as "multiple Seated type burn out syndrome". Even if you owned every coin in every grade, you would still want more. Seated Liberty series is the best!

I think it may have a shot at MS60,nice eye appeal.

Looks like high-end AU. But some capped 1/2 with a little cabinet friction can get MS grades.
