Poll: 1907 high-relief St. Gaudens

In 2007, the 100th anniversary of the famous high-relief St. Gaudens is to be celebrated. I recently read that it is in the pipeline (Congress) to be recognized. It is my hope that they do a restrike of this historic piece. I would like them to:

1) Limit the mintage to 11,250 (original 1907 total, I think)

2) Struck as a business strike, not a proof!

3) Roman numeral date, and no motto (MMVII)

4) Price??? $5,000.00 (and worth every penny!)

Opinions??

$5K price seems like an awful lot of money (half that would get my attention!), but I like all of your other points.
    When in doubt, don't.

Why would a restrike be worth $5000 (or even $2500)?

It should be an exact copy, in the same relief as the 1907 version, but dated 2007. Liberty should be restored to the somewhat heavier form used on the original, not the slimmed-down version found on today's gold eagles.

I'd also like to see a restrike of the $20 pattern that used the St. Gaudens Indian design, with the word LIBERTY in a horizontal position in large letters across the lower half of the coin. I believe the coin is unique, and in the Smithsonian collection. I did a quick search for a photo, but couldn't find one online. Maybe someone that has more time can find one.

$5,000 are you high? I could buy a real one in AU58 for less. The US MINT gouges us enough already.

With that limited mintage, it's entirely conceivable that the entire mintage could be purchased by one "client."
I like your idea, but perhaps limiting them to one per person, thru some kinda lottery? Weren't the GSA dollars sold in a similar manner?

Being they list for 7k+ in EF, yours must be well-circulated! I would stand in line at the mint to buy a high-relief
    specimen in 65+...

    Bill:

No, I'm not high...but if I had some BC bud...

    Jim:

Yes, an exact copy, although dated MMVII, and yes I love that Indian pattern also!
