Thanks to David on his seminar on Grading coins. It is very helpful. Nice to meet all the other Great Registry owners. I made my 1st Great Rare coin at the Invatational it is a 1960 PR67RD 1c Small /Large Date. I believe it just missed Cameo on the obverse because the Reverse is all there. Here"s a Picture's.
Thanks again PCGS Dad and I had a GREAT time.

If I had it my way, stupidity would be painful!
I'll write up a proper show report as promised, with lots of digital photos, as soon I can get unburied from my regular day job and this week's upcoming Business Trade Show that i will be attending in Dallas.
Thanks to all of the new friends that I made and also to all of the old acquaintences with whom Debbie & I visited in Las Vegas this week!

How strong were prices?
What was the availability of quality coins?
What actually was happening at the show?

There was a very large amount of coins submitted to PCGS for on site "show" grading, enough workload to cause PCGS staff to extend their stay by an additional day until Thursday. There were some very high quality coins being sold dealer-to-dealer, and these deals were also open to us Registry Set invitees.
The dealers and PCGS were extremely kind, helpful and willing to engage in conversation, especially because this event is not as "manic" as your typical retail coin show. I therefore took this unique opportunity to meet the major dealers whom I didn’t already know, and to spend some quality time with those whom I did know. It was an extremely valuable experience from a personal networking and numismatic educational perspective. i.e. I learned a lot (and I’ve been doing this for almost 40 years)…
I also took the opportunity to join PCGS’ “Platinum Upgrade” membership level giving me the most "bang for the buck" in submitting about 20 of my “raw” coins from my collection for certification which I hand selected as some of the highest upside potential coins. I submitted the following group of coins, and we'll see how the PCGS Grading Gods treat me ...

Have you had a chance to post the pix?
I'll try to post additional ones next week after I return from my AAPG Business Trade Show in Dallas.
