This coin looks to be in a holder already. Notice he says he calls it a 64pl. No where in the ad does he state what the holder says the coin is. He has seen coins like this in 65 holders, well I have seen coins like this in 63 holders.
It could be PL or Not. It looks like a scan from a flatbed scanner to me. I can't really tell. A certified example could be had for the price of this one i'm sure. PL 1881s's are pretty easy to find.
My local dealer has one of these in a first gen ANACS (gold label) holder that is PQ+ MS64++ and probably PL or semi-PL. Probably worth $40-45 all day long. Makes this one look like a turkey.
You can easily find MS65's in 64 holders if you look at enough of them. NO need to go to ebay and gamble.

I think this pretty well sums it up. If you set aside how it looks and just concentrate on the wording of the ad, plus the fact that it already looks slabbed (no grade revealed), I would be suspicious and simply pass on this one.

Dosen't look pl to me in the picture. I don't see any mirror effect. Probably would grade 64 though.

Rainbow Stars
my opinion, not PL
if you plan on buying a common date Morgan, pay a few extra bucks and get a nice cameo PL or DMPL. well worth the extra moolah.
