Some nice animals for y'all

After a couple of weeks of neglecting my coins, I've finally had the time to start playing with them again.image

Also working my way through a second purchased collection at the local shop, finding a lot of nice beasts, regal and otherwise-here are a few of them. I have to wonder how the common metals of most african coins survived the climate-aluminum, bronze, brass, wouldn't they tarnish rather quickly? I don't see them in UNC too often at the local shops and was pleased to get these.

Oh, next friday I should be picking up around thirty crown sized coins from everywhere that I asked them to save for me; can't wait!

Labmom, I'll keep my eyes peeled for another for you.

Yes placid, a coin zoo, and I'm having a blast filling in all the coins I wanted from any number of African countries and many of them have animals. They're not expensive or rare but they have a flavor that I enjoy.

  • So it was spiny who resuscitated this thread and with a Rhodesian coin too. You gotta admit though, the bronze halfpenny that Laurent had posted has all the charm. I love holed bronze coins in red BU. image

It's also quite amusing to post in the same thread twice, under different handles and in different times. My tastes are still the same though. image
