This just came in the mail today and I know it is a little off topic but there is definitely a coin tie in on both the obverse and reverse of this colonial note. Yes I am aware that there is a currency forum for this but I just wanted to share this here as well. Talk about holding history in your hands!

1. Start by buying from a reputable dealer. Ask around on the currency forum and you'll find a few.
2. As I understand it these notes were printed on a distinct mica flake paper and you can actually
see flakes of mica on many of the genuine notes.
3. I have been told that there were quite a few contemporary counterfiets produced by the British
attempting to undermine the economy of the colonies but these notes are collected along side the
genuine notes with little difference in value. In fact I would like to have a few counterfiets in my
collection because of the history they represent.
As far as prices go its like anything else with condition being king. This particular note can range from a couple hundred in good to a couple thousand in CU. I am nowhere near an authority on these and I am sure there are others here that can correct my errors and shed more light on this fascinating area.
In the meantime I am now working on a 13 colony set and lovin every minute of it.

Now the real $64,000 question - is that your photograph.......
Feel free to send me your stuff and I'll image them for you. As for getting your stuff back, well, we'll have to talk about that!
