...in the PCGS Registry game if you could only use a coin once in a registry? (i.e. like the '64Kennedy can be used in about 9 different registries, you could only use the cert # for one registry)

Just curious as many people have dozens of registry sets.

I would, but then I only have 4 sets.

I have 11 sets out there and not a single coin in any of my sets is registered to more than 1 set, so the answer from me is yes!

Heck, it took me a long time to figure out that you use a coin more than once. So of course I would play, just not as much.

In the beginning a questionaire was sent out looking for opinions about the Registry. Using a coin more than once was one of my concerns. As time went on I realized the driving force behind the Registry was to attract as many "sets" as possible and using a coin more than once would be the only way to achieve that goal.

Collectors have different collecting goals. Also, not all collectors are financially able to assemble multiple sets without using a coin twice, or more. Type Sets can be assembled using proof coins, circulated strike coins, or a combination of both. In my case I have circ. strike and combo sets which contain some of the same coins. If I couldn't do that the number of sets I have would be reduced by 2 or 3. When you look at it Registry wide, we would have a long way to go to get to the 10,000 set mark we have now.

Your example of the '64 Kennedy is a good one. I believe it's the King of multiple sets. I believe I'm using a proof '64 Kennedy in 4 or so sets myself.

I thought the 76-half was the "King."
