Would ANACS slab my coin?

I have a gold soverign that I put a few small scratchs into it to see if it was plated. Many people have said NGC and PCGS would not slab it, but would ANACS? I was hoping they would be able to certify its authenticy, and grade it and encapsule it..

  • Dude, yes Anacs would slab your scratched coin. They will assign it a "net" or lower grade because it is damaged. If you want to waste $15 and two way postage for them to tell you what we have for free, then go ahead and send it in. I would save my money, and if I really wanted a nice gold coin in a slab, I'd buy one that way. image

Everyone is aware of your sovereign so you don't have to explain it again. Face the music, you put scratches into the coin, NO ONE WILL SLAB IT in the way you want it slabbed, it is damaged goods okay?

I was just asking if they would slab it because NGC and PCGS would not. Damn, and stop the caps cacheman. I'm better off not even posting here ..
  • Yes, Anacs will slab it.......

YOU put those scratches in that coin? image

To see if it was plated.

    Hmm.

Sort of like shooting your dog in the head to see if he was alive?

I am astounded by your reasoning powers! When it comes back with a net grade and you lose money on it just remember that being stupid has a price!
