No more presidents on coins. Bring back Liberty!

First, he will have to pass on before the change is seriously considered.

Republicans would still have to be in power.

He will not go on the quarter (too many recent changes and everyone loves GW), nor will he go on the nickel (since Virgina owns that coin)

He will not go on the Dollar, at least alone, since that coin is currently for female figures.

So that leaves the half, the dime and the cent, which are currently occupied by a republican and two democrats (all three died in office).

The cent will not be practical at all in a few years, so Lincoln will probably ride that one to extinction (or retirement, depending on your outlook)

The half doesn't really circulate, so the dime is the only logical denomination left.

But again, it will all come down to politics.

Personally I don't think ANY past President should be on any coin! I would much rather see us go back to the old coins, you know, back when they looked good!!!

GSAGuy... I like Reagan, and I think he was a pretty good President... I just think we need to do away with Dead Dudes on US Coinage that's supposed to depict Liberty and Freedom... do you apply any of these qualities to guys that are 6 feet under?

I say stick him on the cent. Besides, Lincoln already has the FIVE $ bill to himself. These presedents are always trying to" one up" each other.

Wasn't promoting the idea..............just wondering the denomination when it does happen....as I suspect it's likely it will some day.

Like most here, I'm for leaving the politics out of it and just get back to making beautiful coins.
