Yeah, it's mine. I've only had time to photograph it (crappily I might add) since it arrived yesterday. Since it is Guido Goetz' piece there isn't anything written about it anywhere except perhaps auction catalogs. I'll try to see what I can find. S

Cache, it's a pretty moving medal. As it describes the destruction of Munich, it's pretty poignant in its use of facts to portray the scope of the damage. Here's what I get from the obverse (and I can't make out every entry): It's a list of daily rations afforded people. 2 grams of lard, 3 grams of meat, 9 grams of fish, 9 grams of sugar, and other quantities of flour and bread. I can't read everything. On the reverse it says "Munich's Time of Mourning 1939-1945" with a list of casualties: 19,300 dead soldiers, 12,000 missing, 265,000 homeless. And on the other side: 66 air raids, 6250 dead (civilians, I gather), 10,600 buildings and 82,000 apartments destroyed.

Thanks Jester...I was dreading having to go to an internet translator and typing everything in to have it translated into the wrong words... What part couldn't you make out and I'll let you know what was written.

I can't read the entry after sugar, nor the numbers after that, nor the last two lines.
