On a side note I showed them to my girlfriend and she asked me why they put golf clubs on a nickel?

    Roll. I found some nice reverses ( as far a dings and marks go ) but most obverses are all crap.

    When I saw 2004 Nickel and "cosmicdebris" I knew that the photos would be excellent, in fact I will go so far as to say that your photo's in general are the best on the forum. Have you ever heard the Frank Zappa song of the same name as your "handle"?

    It's too bad you didn't get some gems in your roll. I am kind of starting to like these new nickels. I didn't care for the drawings much at all, but he actual coins themselves are not that bad.

    I'm still looking for them to come out here in Philly, and will be looking to trade for some Denvers once they do.

    Personally, I feel as if a LOT of our recent coinage designs (state quarters & now these nickels) are TREMENDOUSLY uninspiring & lacking in visual impact like those from the 19th & early 20th centuries. Looks like tokens some second-rate mint would put out!
