Die Cracks on 2004-D Jeffersons (New crack added)

Comrades,
I have found a Jefferson with two die cracks. Interestingly anough, both start from the shirt cuffs. The large runs from the forarm end of the indian cuff and runs to the rim. The other starts from the hand end of the soldier's cuff, and runs south, stopping well before the rim.

Anyone else seen cracks on these?

Nope, I have not seen one. How many are you going through Brian? Are you going to be the first with an MS67?

What do you think the "P" and "D"'s look like? Do you think many 67"s or 68"s will be made? Just curious to see what others are seeing.

I've gone through two rolls of each. I've set aside 1xP and 6xD as possible submit coins. I will screen them more carefully after I've looked at all 6 rolls. At best the P is a 65, and a couple Ds shot 66.

Appear the quality factor has clearly flipped in favor of the Denver mint! Better luster, fuller strike, less major dings.

Geez Brian not wasting any time getting that up on Ebay.

I have gone through 10 rolls of the "D" and 8 of the "P" and agree that the quality has shifted but still very poor. With the "P"s I only have 1 worthy coin IMO and 0 for the "P"'s.

You have so few because you get 66 & 67 grades. But my lowly MS65FS 2003-D still sell for a nice sum of over $50! If I can get them graded when the pops are still low, I figure best from multiple rolls will be a profitable coin regardless of the grade.

Of course ajai proved me wrong and bought the first graded 2004-P Kennedy for $9. Didn't help that the only one graded not by me was an MS67.

Found a new crack from the pointy end of the tomahawk to the indian's cuff.... there's that cuff again, all three cracks hit a cuff.

Really straight for cracks and in an unusual place. Might be a break out there, cool.
  • I'll be keeping my eye out for these when mine get here...

Any other things to keep my eye out for when they get here?

Found another of the same cracks from a different roll tonight.

  • It truly sucks living where I do. I'm out where God lost his shoes, can only get to Salt Lake City about once a month, and even the closest town doesn't have 04 Jeffs yet,... except for drawer change that truckers may have imported via pocket change!!

You suck Brian! You really, really suck!
Good find by the way image

Did I mention that you suck?

Nice find. I haven't even seen one yet and I've had to work in 5 different states this week.
