Anyone heard talk of $2.00 coin?

Of course there has always been speculation about certain denominations being phased out or changed, however, I have heard a few times in recent months that possibly the mint may ask congress for a $2 coin down the road...Of course even if true the way congress works that could take 10 years...

The same "rumor" is predicting the demise of the $1 bill! This is the same thing Canada did a few years back....

I think the half dollar would rise again before a $2 coin.

Why bother with a $2 coin when you can use the $2 bill just as easy? Since it won't work, the Mint/Congress will probably approve it...
