    I collect circulated U.S. silver
  • Blue + 15% is an insult! I usually detest Peace dollars - even HRs - but I like this one.

I bet I could get $ 1000 for her easy.... I was getting $ 950 a year and a half ago (yep) for ultra clean 64 blast gems like this one.... she's in the top 5 of my set... um... hourd.... I wouldn't even let her go at that price..... really....

Thus the little devil symbol after my comment...I'd probably trade a certain PCGS MS65 1928 Peace Dollar that we were recently discussing straight up for this one. I was planning on upping my offer to bid+15% and then ask+15% but got busy until now (not like I thought either offer would be accepted).

  • Rella... I already turned down $ 1000+ you'll have to go a little higher.... image

I think you'll see this date keep going up... just 8 months ago I was buying all of the MS-62' I could at $ 280.... now... premium ones are at $ 500+... "premium" is the key... I saw a toned 62 in a PCGS holder go for just $ 370 on ebay the other day....... eye appeal is everything.....

Some of you who are looking for this coin may find it hard to find as I can say that I've pretty much bought every high end great eye appeal 28' coin out there in the last 3 years..... when I say high end..... I mean, put a ".9" at the end of the grade. I don't buy coins that are "ho-hum"... i'm looking for the coin you show your friend and they are shocked to see it..... There are a lot of dealers out there who won't even talk to me anymore because they feel I'm way too picky (I've had some returns...lol) in what I want and that the coin that I want just doesn't exist..... o well... to some extent I agree with them.....

Where the higher end 28' will go... who knows... just be careful what you buy out there... there's a lot of garbage... a lot of "enhanced" photos...... cleaned raw coins.....

    Studying that photo...well, I'm surprised that's not in a 65 holder.image

This splendid example of a Peace Dollar (re)confirms its solid position as one of the most creative and beautiful of U.S. coins. And it is a Key to boot. Well done Peaceman

Peaceman: That's a beautiful 1928 Peace Dollar! I agree with you that MS-64.9's are a great value in today's market especially with the great eye appeal of your coin.
