Toned Jeffersons - Post them here

Hello everyone,

I am curious to see what NT Jeffersons look like. (I saw a solid blue looking Jeff in Baltimore last year, but I don't remember the year or if it was MS or PR. I don't know if it was AT or NT.)

hey Shamika

as Russ pointed out, those pictured thus far appear to be naturally and unintentionally toned. i'm struck by the difference in coloring due to the different reason for the tone. the Mint state examples tend to have banded color due to it being the result of transfer toning from the outside to the inside of the coin from a paper wrapper or folder. the Proofs are more overall toned since it's the resilt of a chemical wash at the mint. the ones which i hold suspect are the the Proofs which seem to be a combination of bith, banded color over the whole coin. i have my reasons for suspicion, but i think the ones so far are quite nice and striking. they can be found easily if you look and are sometimes surprisingly inexpensive.

I actually have a toned Jefferson Registry with PCGS and NGC with pics. My NGC Registry has more due to the fact that you can enter both PCGS and NGC into it. While grades aren't anything to write home about I believe that I have a number of eye appealing coins Still definately a work in progress. Take a look and any feedback would be great. I especiallty like my 49-d
