Sorry, no picture, but the "O" on the 54 Huge "O" quarter has to be the coolest (and to me, most beautiful) mintmark on a US coin.

Andy, I'd have to agree with you on the 54-0 Huge O 25c having the neatest mint mark. Where else can you find a mint mark that looks like an 8 year old made it using a potato as the model.....and is also larger than the legends on the coin itself? I'd love to own a choice UNC of this variety.

But the neatest mint mark are the obverse mint marks of the late 1830's. And my vote goes to the 1838-0 and 1839-0 halves.

I like the giant mint marks on the war nickels. There are several repunched mint mark varieties in the war nickel series. You knew there was a war on when the coins were changed so much.

I love obverse mintmarks! Let's you lay out your set by date and mintmark and see the difference (rather than looking like you have 3 of each date). Lincoln Cents are my specialty of course, but I also think the mint marks on Standing Liberty Quarters are sooo cool! The best may be St Gaudens Double Eagles, with a mintmark above the date!!

From what I see, CC coins seem to be much more expensive... maybe if they were made in Charlotte they'd be cheaper...
