CU plans to divest itself of many entities.....

Just saw it in Numismatic News.

Also the article referred to PCGS's grading service as "vibrant".

I thought that was interesting.

I think it's a good strategy. It will allow them to focus on the profitable components and repurpose the employees to those areas. If it is followed by some decisive moves (or notable ones) then I'd be quite confident about their future. Of course, my validation means zero to them. But in the end, it's only my confidence in them that matters to me.

"Vibrant" isn't synonymous with "shaky" is it?

  • Yes Greg Manning bought the sports card auction company, Kingswood auctions, B&M Auctions, B&M retail business, the B&M library and the rights to all of the books published by B&M for 2.5 million. CU paid Bowers 8 million for just B&M back when they bought it.
  • Fleece the unsuspecting sheep.

    <<"Vibrant" isn't synonymous with "shaky" is it?>>

But it is apparently synonymous with slow.

  • Don't forget about the 8 million in stocks as well. Of course, the stocks aren't worth 8 million now is it.
  • Is Greg Manning doing better? I think a couple years ago they lost 16 million

but maybe because of worldwide acquisitions
