Toned peace $1 I found

Came in a group of 200 common dollars. This baby is totally NT and the reverse is also toned with a mottled blue. There was also a toned 1925 in the group but it's not as nice.

Don't Hmmmm me, although you it may not look like it in the pic it is NT and would have no problem getting it into plastic.

Jared, don't be so certain that the coin is NT - the purple, in particular, looks questionable.

The picture is a touch off I agree totally, but in person it is totally NT. I do have a submission going in today, maybe I should include it.

Ok this group of 200 dollars walked in the door. Common Peace $1 and some 1921 Morgans. Most circulated but about 10% unc. I will be sending this baby out today to PCGS for grading since I am the only one who believes this is NT. If PCGS bags it I will apologize fully to you all but if they do put it in plastic I expect some serious butt smooching.

The opposite also appies, just because PCGS slabs it doesn't mean it's NT, just maerket acceptable.

Me thinks it's been dipped & retoned in an album and would probably holder @ any grading service but that's just my opinion.

Holder or no holder it's not the kind of toned Peace$ that will bring much (if any) of a premium imo. Toned Peace$ aren't as tough to find as many make it out to be. Now "Attractive" toned ones with multi colors and high grade are a different story.

I agree with stman. Finding a really attractive toned, gem Peace dollar is another story. The one pictured looks from the scan like it probably won't grade gem.
