EBay Are these Type Albums good? I know the Dansco #7070 albums have been suggested to me by many as being real good albums, but I was wondering about these. Since I'm only wanting the album for Dimes and Half-Dimes, if might be better just to have the Volume 1, assuming I can get it for a bit less than the Dansco... Thank you.

Nothin' wrong with 'em, I guess, but unlike the Dansco 7070's, you'll have empty holes for some of the rare, early, deep-pockets kinda stuff. Draped Bust silver is tough enough, let alone Flowing Hair. Try finding a problem-free Draped Bust half dime, even the later Heraldic Eagle ones, without problems, in a decent circulated grade. I tried just that for my old type set, and after two years of trying for a problem-free Fine, I settled for a G6 which had a slight bend to it (though not enough for ANACS to net grade it).
The trouble with that early stuff is that it all seems to be either mangled garbage or high-end stuff a normal guy can't afford. Very little in between. (And those few nice circulated pieces that do fall in between end up in collections and seldom go on the market unless somebody croaks.)
The Dansco type set, on the other hand, begins with the Capped Bust coinage, so you won't have to mess with the Draped Bust pieces. (Mind you, the Draped Bust coins are great, if you can afford 'em and find nice examples, but it's challenging!)
We ARE watching you.

I don't know...I'm having a lot of fun doing a raw Dansco type album

Me too.
I think it's one of the most enjoyable sets you can put together. It starts out easy and you can fill many of the holes without too much effort, so you feel like you're making good progress. Then it gets a little tougher, but since you already have a good start, it's easy to slow down and not rush yourself. Can you tell that I like the Dansco type set?
It will be an impressive set when finished, but it will take me a long time to get there.
