U.S. Coin Show Schedule to Post Local, Regional & National Shows -- Updated

StuartStuart Posts: 9,761 ✭✭✭✭✭
Would others on this forum find it useful for us to be able to post logistic info on Local, Regional and National Coin Shows on some kind of online forum Coin Show Schedule??

I know that PCGS posts dates of some of the larger shows that they plan to attend, and it's easier to get this info on the national shows. However, it's sometimes more problematic to be aware of the numerous Local Coin Shows, and some of the Regional Shows.

Please post your thoughts and perhaps CarolJ and SportsModerator1 may advise us if they would like to help facilitate a new forum category called "U.S. Coin Show Schedule"...

Thnaks in advance for your feedback and your vote! image

I think it would be a good thing. Show and auction listings for maybe 3-4 months out.
Thanksgiving National Battlefield Coin Show is November 29-30, 2024 at the Eisenhower Allstar Sportsplex, Gettysburg, PA. Tables are available. WWW.AmericasCoinShows.com

An updated coin show calendar would have come in useful today when DizzleCC and I went to Clements High School to find out too late that the Coin Show was cancelled imageimageimageimage

DarkTone, 66Tbird, CopperCoins, MICHAELDIXON & NepBrs44: Thanks for your comments and your votes in support of posting a U.S. Coin Show calendar for Local, Regional & National Coin Shows to disseminate up-to-date logistical info on upcoming shows.

Any others think this is a good idea??

    GREAT IDEA!!!! image
  • Absolutely! A great idea! I get tired of wading through Coin World and other publications to find show schedules. One suggestion though. When I do see an auction listed somewhere, if I don't know where that town is listed, I need to find it on a map. Maybe we could link auctions to a linkable map shpwing exactly where the location is....Just a thought.....Ken

Ken: Thanks for your GIS Map interface idea. I also would like to suggest that we list the local shows 2 ways:

    1) Sorted by state to find your local shows more quickly
    2) Sorted by event date to quickly see what's up for the coming weekend

I'm pleased to see that this idea is gaining so much support and momentum amongst fellow forum members!! image
