My coin page

I created a web site of some of the coins I have from my grandfather. That way I can still check them out, and keep them at the bank. Feel free to take a look at my other coins from the link below. Some tabs are not functional, but many are. None of the coins are in slabs. I am planning to send in the 2¢ and 2 1883 one dollar gold pieces. These two are so nice it is scary. Both show a weak Liberty in the headband, but are otherwise nice. I might send in the 3 dollar gold coin or a 1791 Washington piece. Anyone have any other picks let me know.

All of the images I have of the coins I did using a scanner. I was simply able to get more uniform images than with my camera. Gold and silver work well, but copper has limitations. Also bear in mind I do all my computer work on a Mac, which has different gamma than a PC. I have not tested this site on a PC so crank up the brightness if you need to.

That is a kick a$$ website you've made up. The only recommendation I would make is to make the pics "clickable" to go to a larger more detailed image of the coin.

I sort of modeled it off of Apple's web site, so it does look very aqua. I created it using dreamweaver and it comes with some of the buttons and tabs that make it look "Aqua". I wanted it very clean and uncluttered. I created it over 2 years ago, and have not updated it in a while. I need to scan and enter a bunch of colonial coins, and finish some other areas.

You did a great job. One thing I would suggest is add the Grade to the text on the right

I would add the grade, but am not confident in my abilities on some of them.

I like it so much, I may have to steal a few of the design features when I re-do my site.

On my monitor, most of the pictures looked pretty dark (I know, you warned us about that). You might want to take the time to check them out on a PC at some point.

The site was easy to do once I made the first few pages. Then I just duplicated them and re--linked to new images with new text.
The scanning took the longest.
