Do coin collectors tend to be frugal, fiscally conservative people?

Do you think that coin collectors are more concerned with money, in general, than the average person?

Do you know many "cheap" coin collectors, who hate to spend a dime? Do you think that coin collectors give less to charity than the average person? Does having coins as a hobby cause one to think of money in a different way?

I have gotten more frugal and less generous since I started collecting again. That's one thing I don't like about coins.

Hard to generalize. There are wealthy hobbiests and frugal businessmen with everything in between.
Coin people tend to be individualistic. Probably because so many run vestpocket businesses and hate taxes, like guns and vote Republican.

We coin collectors come in all flavors, dispositions, economic means

and differing tasts in series, grades and coin color. In other words

we is the world.

I agree with "Bear" -- Different strokes for different folks -- some collect coins worth less than $1, and others won't look at a coin valued at less than $1000 -- people of very different means and interests...
