Who's got the newest 17th century Krause?

I need a price check on a value that seems absurd if someone would be so kind as to help me out.

German States: Holstein-Gottorp 2/3 Thaler, 1683 KM#79.

Can someone provide the run of values from F-EF? The edition we have shows $2250.00 in VF which seem just a tad high. image Want to see if it's a cataloguing error that has been corrected, or if it still stands in the new edition.

Thanks much.

Not me. I think I'm still stuck with First Edition on that, Second Edition on the next two, and the 2002 Edition for the later coins.

I have a 3rd edition but Holstein-Gottorp no longer appears as a German State, or anywhere at all in the index.

They've moved other stuff around, for instance Austrain Coins from the Ensisheim mint are now considered French, so maybe the coin is elsewhere. I tried Austria, Denmark, and Norway but not there either.

Thus far I've found the 3rd edition far inferior to the 2nd.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

O don't have the new addition yet. I understand there is alot more to it. Just curious... why do you think 225 is a tad high?image

  • Methinks Holstein-Gottorp is the wrong state to look up. Rather, it's Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorp, and they minted coins in the 17th and 18th centuries. (don't know if they did earlier though image)
