Safe Deposit Boxes

hi, this is my first post, the price of safe deposit boxes seem to have gone up in the last 10 years. My bank wants $60 for a 3 x 5 box. If you think about it, its hard to figure out a safe place to keep coins. At least they are mobile and small . i`m glad i dont have that many slabs, I have about 15, I wouldnt want to many just in case I need to make a quick escape !!!

usually you can talk a bank that you have accounts with into giving you a free small box or at least a discount. Safe deposit box is by far the safest place to keep valuable coins. I only keep my most expensive ones in there though, so I can always look at the rest. I'm forever wondering about them, where they've been, who used them, what they bought.......etc.

$60 for a 3x5 is kinda steep. I have a giant shoebox sixed one that don't even cost that much!
Check around, you can get a better deal.

My bank charges $30 for a 3x5. If you are a premier customer (easy to qualify), they waive it. If you choose a larger size, they will credit the cost by $30. A good deal.

Credit Union (CU) members have it made... So I've been told...
I haven't belonged to a bank in so long, I don't know the
difference any more.

I have a 4x8x24 Safe Deposit Box that I keep my stuff in... I'm
paying $45/yr for that (if memory serves me)...

Check your local CU's to see if you qualify for membership...
Almost anyone can qualify for one these days...
