At the Long Beach show, a fellow board member came by my table and allowed me to try his Scratch Away. AMAZING STUFF!!! It really works. I immediately contacted Pushkin and bought some.image

I bought some today. I'm not sure how it works, but a few others said it works well. I'll report back after I try it.

With this interest in sample slabs and slab collecting in general, there will come a time when slabs are slabbed. Any slabbed cleaned with Scratch Away will be body bagged for cleaning. Something to think about. It's best to keep slabs in MS condition. Don't toss them down on tables or put them in your pocket with keys or loose change.

    you are so correct clw

I keep my new slabs in a ziplock bag to keep from scratching the delicate surfaces

I may even have to go the reholder route for some slabs that just do not cut the mustard

So very true, clw. The only problem with this scenario is that unless you submit for slabbing and are the original owner, you can keep them free of scratches. Unfortunately, one must buy in slabs what he cannot find raw, and who knows where a particular slab has been before you get it.

There will always be a market for something that removes scratches from slabs---nobody owns just their own slabbed raw, I would think.

My personal preference is Blue Magic Liquid Metal Polish from a auto parts store. Safe and non-abrasive for use on all metals AND fiberglass and plastic. Thoroughly tested by myself on a third world slab, worked extremely well! Then I did all my PCGS Jeffs. Great job!
