Today is my birthday and I've just received some pictures taken these past few days.
Noel (the dog I found on Christmas eve) , Fritz and Twix enjoying another sunny day.
My neighbour's 14 year old daughter playing with Noel .
Yours truly after a very difficult night, hardly awakened.
Syracusian's headquarters: on the wall, a DSL modem, an ISDN modem and a 1938 US mint set.
On the desk, the laptop and various boxes, all filled with coins.
And the best for last: Noel eating Fritz alive . It's their favourite game, they do it all day long!

Fritz doesn't look that happy in that picture, but I promise you he's enjoying this more than the dog.
My cat is into SM stuff !

Here's the giveaway. It took me some time to decide, because it's very difficult to locate a decent Greek coin for a giveaway.
This one is from the Ionian islands, the last year they've minted coins, 1862,
a tiny red copper 1 lepton with a lion on the obverse and Britannia on the reverse. KM 34
Now here's the bad news:
the coin came in touch with a drop of water at some time and there's a distactive stain on the reverse (Britannia side)
and for this reason ANACS graded it as UNC details/ AU50 net.
This coin came as a gift to me and I've held on to it until I was able to locate a better specimen.
It happened two months ago with an MS63RB but this one is more red.
It's time to pass it on and I hope that the winner will enjoy it.
Two runners up. They'll receive an IOM motorcycle crown,pictured below.
One has a Honda 1967 with Mike Hailwood driving it and the other features the famous Bob MacIntyre on a 1957 Gilera.
Finally all three will receive a 1984 drachma from a roll.
I'm unable to upload Darkhorse's superb picture of it, but it's a little eye candy.

The 1938 US mint set was my "desktop" coin set. I chose this year to be able to have a buffalo, a mercury and a walker in one year,
and still be affordable. It kept me some great company (I love "desktop" coins - people come and ask what it is) but it's been sold last week.
