    Old thread.

    and here.

    here too.

I've seen his auctions, but never bid. He seems to deal in many second and third tier slabs.
  • Ive seen some of their stuff on ebay and 99.9% is washed out, heavily dipped, over graded junk. Don't buy without a picture and make sure you have a return policy.

I've bought one thing from them on E-Bay, and immediately returned it. A quarter they claimed was AU+++ was in reality VF+ at best due to harsh cleaning and major digs in the fields. (I had this opinion confirmed at last year's Rosemont show.) Long story short, I returned it, and a couple of weeks later the same coin was back on E-Bay in an SEGS holder, AU-58!!! No mention of the problems and priced to move at more than double what I had paid (which was double what it was worth).

They are the typical sleazeBay junk dealer. Don't think you are going to get a bargain cherry from them cause there aint no such animinal!
Just to see, I was high bidder on a raw 97 Morg they listed as MS60 DMPL a while back. PCGS probably wouldn't have graded it DMPL, it might have graded 60-62 and probably just Prooflike but I didn't get screwed or anything like that.
They shipped it promptly & I didn't have any complaints about the company or my $30 DMPL (sic).
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

Huh? My big problem with them is that everytime I try to do searches for various companies, my searches are filled with their auctions that have nothing to do with the subject of my search. I have to go out of my way to exclude their auctions. As far as i know they have not created their own service. . .yet.

not quite true. i made 1 of my best picks off of 'em, a r5+ bust half. as a type coin, it was a cleaned up beat up piece of dogmeat (sorry dog97), but i snared it for thirty-something dollars, & have turned down $800 for it from other bhnc members.

actually, i know sal personally, & he is really not a bad guy. it's 1 of those cases where i actually think he's a better human being than coin dealer. the guy honestly does suffer from poor eyesight, & if you buy from him in person, & are patient, you can get some deals. he does honor his return policy too.

not recommending you buy from him, just trying to balance out some of the responses.

Well.......I just bought (on ebay) a 1795 Flowing Hair Half in a SEGS AG03 holder - the coin looks a bit funky and probably overgraded but given his auctions do offer a 2-day return, its worth a shot. I previously bought a raw 1805 bust 10c that was all he said it was and got holdered by PCGS at that same grade!

I will agree with prior comments - GET A PICTURE and ask questions as Sal does respond!
