Redid website with better images

I redid my Goetz Pattern Website. Bigger images and added all the patterns I have to it.

Yeah, I am adding text blocks to mine to get at least the titles, dates and sizes of the medals on each example. I still am not sure how I can maintain the integrity of the whole thing each time I want to update with an addition. I have been deleting everything then creating a new set of folders and files each time. If I do this after adding the text than I'll lose everything. I need to know what exactly is created each time and how I can cut and paste it into the existing gallery without losing html code, etc.

There has got to be a way to edit the template to add a variable for each subpage. But you would still have to edit the text in each one separately.

I like your pages, Bill and Scott.. but that slide show display can be annoying.. I want to study the pictures longer!

I notice that the way the your slideshows progress is with a meta/refresh tag. It would probably be a lot more useful with javascript instead. Or even simply a "previous" button on each slide. What would be best IMO is something that automatically winds forward but allows you to stop on a certain coin or medal and then resume when the viewer is ready. This would be really helpful especially if/when you guys add more text info. If you want I can try to pull something together like this.. actually I think I already have a script like that somewhere.. have to find it...

Spoon this was a canned template that came with Photoshop 7.0. Only thing I did was add my own graphic for the background of each page and added the description under each image. I think Dreamweaver has a behavior in it that can do what you described.

    Thanks Mark and Markimage

Spoon, I'll take any advice or tools you want to "spoon" feed meimage. As Bill mentioned, this is a canned template from PS7.0 and it will suffice for a short time but in my case I intend on building an entire webpage around Karl Goetz and his times to illustrate what influenced Karl's work in the first place. I am currently reading up on HTML, have downloaded an HTML editor, and I am currently trying to get ahead of the learning curve with PS7.0, ImageReady, and MS FrontPage webpage creation tools to put something together. I understand the creation concepts (slice, rollover, etc.) but still need to learn the tools to do so. Any assistance you wish to provide I will gladly accept. PM me anytime. Thanks!!!image
