Strange Chamberlain auction

Check out this auction for a 1961 Fleer #8 Wilt Chamberlain PSA 9.

If that scan is not stolen, then can someone explain to me why there is a Copyright for Teletrade on the picture?

I must say ebay has become the Wild West. There are more scams and ripoffs it can become just unbearable.

  • It sure looks like he "borrowed" the picture Teletrade used in their auction listing. He may have just printed out the picture when he bid and decided to use it for his auction. He should have covered the Teletrade name and would have avoided any conflict.

He may have purchased the card from Teletrade recently, although I though Teletrade's website has been down for some time.

Seller's feedback is perfect and all the current bidders look legitimate.

This could be a stolen account. I wouldn't touch this auction without being driving distance to the seller.

Teletrade suspended their sportscard auctions some time ago....
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

This is true, Teletrade has been done for months now. By the way, if you're selling a PSA 9 Wilt Chamberlain rookie, wouldn't you want to talk it up in the description, at least a little bit??? If this guy did steal the scan, he must be the biggest moron ever to leave the Teletrade copyright in there. This can be resolved very easily though...just ask the seller for a scan of the back of the card.

The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
