  • December 2001.

I had been buying raw 72's on ebay and noticed these slabs that said PSA on them.

I started buying them and finally went to the web site.

    That started this craziness.

Ironically, I found out about ebay from Shop At Home & Don West.
They mentioned... errr, SHOUTED something about ebay like,
"YOU CAN'T EVEN FIND THIS CARD CHEAPER ON EBAY!! EBAAAAAYYYY!!!"
I thought, "Hm, ebay? I gotta check this out!"
Actually got me back into cards after a 13 year hiatus.

Still remember my first purchase: 1969 Topps Johnny Bench in NM condition. It finished off my 69 Set!

  • I've been a member of eBay since August 21, 1999.
Funny, because I joined just to sell some Cd's I didn't want anymore and then I discovered that I could finsh my old 1965 set that was only a third complete....
Now I use eBay pretty much solely for baseball cards and am back into cards more than I ever was in high school.

I only need 22 more unique feedbacks to get to 1000 and a new-colored star!

When I first started, a PSA search would fill one page for all sports.

Me too, sellerman! You've got a slight edge in feedback rating, though. I'm 63 unique positives away from the coveted red star.
