A Good Day On eBay

I pick up four 9's to upgrade my 1975 set and three of my winning bids had lmayer as the #2 bidder. Not a bad day at all . . .

  • Having lmayer as the #2 bidder is about the best feeling a PSA set registry collector can have! image

Yeah, my sniping program didn't go off on a lot of thoseimage
I was suprised that the psa 10's didn't go higher. My guess is other snipers got stuck also.

Scott -- You've been killing me lately. In fact, much too often for someone who was stopping on 75's for awhile. image

He is known to put lowball bids on just about any PSA graded card that is out there on ebay. If you win an auction with lmayer as the #2 bidder, you have pretty much snagged a good deal. image

  • lmayer does lowball, but the guy has a tremendous collection going.

The last time I looked he has around 60 different sets registered (with the name BBCards4U or something like that) ranging from the 1880's through the 1970's with some near or over 50% complete. Check it out. I was really surprised and very impressed with the volume.

It seems his method of throwing out tons of lower bids has been somewhat successful.

  • Larry is a great guy.
If you go to his site (link is on his "my eBay" page), most of those cards are for sale.
